Visit Eira do Serrado, Camara de Lobos, Pico dos Barcelos and Monte to witness views overlooking valleys, villages and an extinct volcano. Try Madeira wine and explore the colorful local fishing village of Camara de Lobos, one of the sights painted by Winston Churchill in the 1950's.
Stop at Pico dos Barcelos, viewpoint from where you can admire a beautiful view over Funchal. Journey to Eira do Serrado, viewpoint (1,094 meters) overlooking the valley of Curral das Freiras, a little village built in the crater of an extinct volcano.
The last stop will be at Camara de Lobos a typical fishing village, with its colorful boats, is one of the sights which Winston Churchill had painted from his terrace when he dedicated himself to painting back in the 1950's. While visiting this charming fishing port, enjoy visiting a private wine cellar to tasting of various Madeira wines. |
